bobu (operating under Across Rainbows C.I.C.) is committed to making lovebobu.com accessible to everyone, regardless of how they navigate the web or what assistive technologies they use.

This statement applies to content published on lovebobu.com.

Our commitment

Our work exists to make the world safer and more inclusive for LGBTQIA+ people and other marginalised communities. Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. We want this website to be usable by as many people as possible, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, or other assistive technology.

Our platform

lovebobu.com is built on Wix Studio. Wix has worked to align its platform with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which is the recognised standard for web accessibility in the UK. This means many accessibility features are built into the platform itself.

What we have done

As far as reasonably possible, we have tried to ensure that:

  • Text and background colours meet minimum contrast ratios for readability.

  • All images that carry meaning have alternative text descriptions.

  • Links are descriptive, so they make sense when read out of context.

  • The site can be navigated using a keyboard alone.

  • Font sizes are set so they can be increased without loss of content or functionality.

  • We avoid using colour alone to convey information.

 

Known limitations

We are a small social enterprise and our website is actively growing. There are areas we are still working to improve, including:

  • Some PDF documents and downloadable resources may not yet be fully accessible. We are working through these.

  • Embedded third-party content (such as video or external forms) may not meet the same standard, as it falls outside our direct control.

  • Some older content pages may not yet be fully optimised.

 

We are committed to addressing these issues and will update this statement as improvements are made.
